Maple Seed
|
Height 48" | Width 18" | Depth 8" Weight 95 Pounds Bronze "Maple trees are common in Utah. Every year these trees produce thousands of winged seeds that develop and grow until they are ripe and ready to fly away from the mother tree in a “whirly-bird” flying fashion. These flying seeds seek space somewhere in the earth to grow, to propagate the maple tree. Maple Seed is a sculptural expression of one of these winged, flying seeds. The green patina color suggests the promise of new life, while the brown earthy tone represents a return back to the earth." Maple Seed has been on display at the following outdoor shows: Art Around the Corner in St George, UT SculptureWalk in Sioux Falls, SD Sculpturewalk in Castlegar, Brittish Colombia Sculptures on Parade in Mason City, IA Walking Sculpture Tour in Mankato, MN Purchase Request |
